Details:
Woven Roots is a roots and dub project that hails from the mountains of beautiful Northern California. Soulful melodies mixed with heavy riddims, inspired by the teachings of light, sound, nature and blessed by the Creator’s love. The music of Woven Roots harmonizes rich Island Roots Reggae and Dub styles with a Humboldt County twist. Inspiration for the powerful lyrics and beats comes from living close to the Earth and homesteading in the beautiful woodlands of the Pacific Northwest. Dedicated to a lifestyle of hard work and stewardship for the Land, these musicians truly live the life they sing about. With tracks like "End Racism," "Be Mindful," and "Future Generations," their music is all about spreading a message of Love, Peace and Respect for the Earth and all Her Plants and Animals so that we may build a more harmonious future on this planet. As Humboldt County''s newest reggae sensation, Woven Roots came together in November of 2007. Lead by the melodic vocals of Travis B. and backed by the talents of life-long musicians: Gueren (guitar), Eliam (bass), Alex (keyboards) and Tanasa (drums), Woven Roots has written over 40 original songs. Their first album "Storms of Change" was released in January of 2009. Woven Roots is currently working on their second album.
