"Ka Huila" (ka who-we-la) means "the wheel" in Hawaiian. After hearing the late and great Hawaiian singer Israel Kamakawiwo''ole, the creative wheels were set in motion like never before. New life was breathed into a couple of creative souls who had lost their faith in music. The influence of sounds from the pacific islands, african blues, Cuban and latin rhythms began to shape a new musical project. Ka Huila has a deep interest and admiration for sounds heard in other parts of the world, where music is so much more than entertainment, it is life itself.
