Details:
In January of 2005, longtime friends Tony Evangelista, Nate Hein, Bob Sweeney and Chris Nau decided to enter their local church''s "Mini-Music Marathon" to perform a song by Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline. Needing a guitar player, Tony turned to Kevin Bang, a veteran of two popular Midwest-region bands. The five members practiced for -- and performed at -- the Mini-Music Marathon, and when they escaped the sanctuary without objects being thrown at them, they decided to come up with a name - "A Certain Sign" -- and prepare for a "full" show of popular Christian rock music, which they performed in May of 2005. Since then, the band has performed at other churches and spent time developing original material. In February, 2006, the band released a 4-song CD EP called "Opening Up", which is already receiving positive reviews and commercial radio airplay. As the band evolves, it''s objective is to deliver the following messages to those who will listen:
1) You can build your life on the solid rock that is Jesus Christ, who died and rose again to set you free from your sins.
2) You have God-given talents. Use them to make other people''s lives better, glorifying God. In doing this -- you will find fulfillment.
The members of "ACS" continue to turn to God for his direction and guidance for their music ministry.
