Benny Woodley was born in the remote Wheatbelt town of Three Springs Western Australia, Australia.
He was raised at New norcia Mission from the age of 8 until he was 15.
Benny was given his first acoustic guitar by his biological mother he then took an interest in writing music as an hobby.
From a young age country music,in particular "Hank Williams Snr" and "Merle Haggard" influenced Benny''s choice of how to include real life experiences and interactions with a diverse range of people within his lyrical musical scores.
Benny has worked around Western Australia within construction and also within the judicial system as a representitive for indigenous people.
In 1984,Benny became involved with ABMUSIC at Clontarf an Aboriginal Corporation, where he began performing as a Solo Artist, with both original and covers.
Thr recording was more of a project for Benny who consider''s him self as a back yard musician more than any thing else.
Benny has now completed his first album, self titled Benny Woodley 1954 which although not publicly released. It was suggested by Benny''s family and members of the public he should do something with his cd.
All tracks have a personal connection with him, however the tracks "1954", "I Want My Daddy Back Home" and "That''s The Girl" and "It''s Alright" are his most liked.
