BILL DAWG AND THE DIRT ROAD ROCKERS

Bill Dawg Moore is a singer/songwriter currently residing in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Bill grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Tucson, Arizona. He ended up in Cleveland when he came here in 1989 to pick up a sax player and keyboard player for his then touring rock n roll/country rock band Bill Dawg and the Extrordinaires. Country has always rated at the top of Bill’s list so a lot of the tunes he writes have a lot of country flavor. It is always a nice blend of rock and blues and downright traditional country.
Bill Dawg and the Dirt Road Rockers has received tons of airplay on European, Australian and New Zealand radio stations as well as some in the USA and of course the internet.
The Dirt Road Rockers are a seasoned bunch of veteran musicians. Bill has been in one band or another with these guys for the last 15 years. Al “Snake” Globokar plays electric, acoustic and pedal and lap steel guitars. Al also produced the Bill Dawg and the Dirt Road Rockers CD. Bobby Lanphere plays electric and acoustic, John “Slap” Daubenspeck and Mike Barrick share the bass playing, Rob Luoma on drums and last but not least The Kid, Danny Joe Cox on electric guitar and a lot of slide. The Kid left this world in Oct. 2004. I miss him every day and sometimes the silence is unbearable. When you hear him you will know what I mean. Oh and by the way everybody sings backup parts.
Most of the focus these days is concentrated on writing, recording and touring in Europe. There will be another CD called “Dawg’s World” soon to follow Dirt Road Rockers. This is a well oiled boogie machine ladies and gentleman. Bill Dawg sincerely hopes you enjoy the music and maybe feel a little better after hearing it.
Here’s what a few people have to say about this outfit:

“ If Bill Dawg and the Dirt Road Rockers come to England I will be the first in line to see them if what I have heard on the CD is anything to go by. They sound a brilliant entertaining bunch of guys.” Earl Binns-Earl Binns Reporting from Skipton in Yorkshire https://www.tradebit.com

“I have a different fave every time I listen to the CD! A good thing is, it doesn’t remind me of any artist I know. It’s just fresh and unpretentious music.” Lord Litter-Radio Marabu, Germany

“There is no doubt that Bill Dawg and his Dirt Road Rockers enjoy their rocking style of country music, it is good, cheerful, foot stomping stuff with some nice ballads thrown in.” Sue McCarthy- Southern Country Magazine, England

“The song I first heard from Bill Dawg and his Dirt Road Rockers was “Whiskey Castles” and I liked it right away. Bill Dawg and his Dirt Road Rockers show their great talents on the CD with songs like “Old Dance Floor” a song that makes you tap your feet, “You Ain’t No Honky Tonk Woman” with a little touch of swing and a little bit of rock. If you like ballads and Latin rhythms mixed with good country you will like Bill Dawg and the Dirt Road Rockers.” Solveig Clark- “Countryespressin”-Denmark

“My type of country/country rock, you can make friends with any of the tracks. Bill does a great job, and the Dirt Road Rockers do just that, they rock! It is close to Rockabilly and it just howls.” Yvonne Bartle-“A Country Cornor” Hawkesbury Radio, 89.9 FM-N.S.W. Australia

Let me hear from some of you people out there. Be kind to yourselves and others.
