Details:
Jay has been playing, singing, and arranging music since the tender age of five years old. He grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from Taylorsville High School. He earned a Bachelor''s degree in Organ Performance and Pedagogy from Brigham Young University and was a guest organist at the Salt Lake Mormon Tabernacle for a brief time. He then pursued a Master''s Degree in Business, also at Brigham Young University.
Since that time, Jay has played gigs throughout the U.S., including at the Homestead, Greenbrier Resort, Lansdowne Resort and Conference Center, and the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center. He plays for church services, weddings, funerals, corporate social functions, community functions, private parties, and is known for his ability to connect with his audience in a deeply personal way.
His songs and musical style are inspired by the likes of Yanni, Josh Groban, John Tesh, Jim Brickman, Michael McClean, and Marquita Gerber.
Jay has produced 2 CD''s and arranged music for the Roanoke, Virginia, LDS stake music production of "Angels Among Us." He recently returned from Salt Lake City, where he accompanied a 350-voice choir on the Tabernacle Organ during two performances of the LDS Church cultural celebration, Recibid al Rey. Jay also gave a Christmas concert at the Vinton War Memorial in Vinton, Virginia.
Jay and his lovely wife, Bridget, are the parents of two teenage sons and recently celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary. Enjoy!

"...I''m impressed with Jay''s ability to connect with the music that he performs, whether he is playing his own music or accompanying on a song, as he did for me. He plays with great passion and sensitivity, which can be felt as you listen to his music live or on one of his CD''s. Jay has great talent, accompanied by a love and desire to share it with all who will listen."

“During my life I’ve known many musicians whom you’d consider technical geniuses, but who lack the abilities to adapt, to anticipate and to ‘create’ music. Jay has the technical knowledge but above all, I’m convinced that he possesses the gift of sensitivity which is extremely important in transforming dry music scores into real music.”
