Details:
From New York City to Boulder, Colorado and back again, singer/songwriter Brielle Korn is returning to the east coast. While living in Manhattan, Brielle performed every Sunday night at Jack in the Village and regularly as part of the Singer/Songwriter Sessions at CBGBs. Finding her true voice in the mountains, Brielle recorded and produced her debut album “isn’t it funny?” and performed in various Boulder and Denver venues.

RETURN is Brielle’s second album of original music. The two-song EP features the impressive stylings of Karen Lauffer on the violin. Delving into the human condition, each song tells a story. “This Rocky Road” is an ironic exploration of life’s many obstacles, while “Missing You” seeks to discover balance in the depths of emotional turmoil.

First pursuing musical theatre, Brielle went on to study classical voice and piano at Bard College, where she developed her talent for songwriting. A native of Rhinebeck, NY, Brielle has performed her original songs in various Hudson Valley venues and was featured as a soloist with the American Symphony Orchestra in May 2005.

Brielle is currently co-writing the play NEPTUNE with Jeremy Pickard and his company, Superhero Clubhouse. NEPTUNE is Manhattan-bound for production in November 2009.

Some customer reviews from “isn’t it funny?”:

“Far and away the most accomplished and hauntingly beautiful album I''ve heard in years, Brielle Korn has set her foot down in cement as a musician, and is here to stay.”

“Brielle has a truly authentic voice that is showcased in “Isn’t it funny?” Not only does the tenor of her voice ring true, her songwriting skills are reminiscent of Joni Mitchell. Brielle has the soul of a poet and the voice of a songbird. Do yourself a favor and buy her album.”

“Brielle''s music is water and air: fluid, soaring, full of clarity and life. Her songs are profoundly sensitive; the current beneath even her most nostalgic lyrics rise with joy and hope. A wonderful new talent.”
