BGP''s music is a synthesis of Power-Pop, Rock, Power-Rock, and other influences, yet none of these can accurately define the sound. It has humorously been described by some as "The Who meets Styx in Nashville, with lots of harmonies and melodies." Decide for yourself!
Musical History:
''Don''t Hold Your Breath'' is the first solo project of BG Perkins. The original material found on this CD was written, performed, and produced solely by BG Perkins, and has received airplay nationally and around the world in more than 170 countries.
''Writing On The Wall'' is a collection of rock infused love songs, written, performed, and produced by BG Perkins. The CD (available on CD Baby and iTunes), was accepted in the 2006 Grammys.
''Tracks'' is the third CD in the BG Perkins musical collection. The original material found on ''Tracks'' was written, performed, and produced by BG Perkins. ''Tracks'' has a bit of a harder edge, showing the diversity in BGP''s songwriting. The CD (available on CD Baby and iTunes), was accepted in the 2007 Grammys...Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance and Best Rock Song.
In 2008, with No Outlet, BG reached out to tug your heart strings...romantic rock music (he only wishes that everyone could feel this way). The CD (available on CD Baby and iTunes), was accepted in the 2008 Grammys for...Best Solo Pop Vocal Performance.
Hold The Anchovies is BG''s fourth CD, and is once again destined to become a classic. The title is a philosophical statement about life: "Just give me what I like (the good things)...hold the rest!"
