Wendy Owens and Renegade formed in 2005 with some of the area’s most esteemed music legends. With over 100 years experience combined, the band’s talent and experience quickly earned them a reputation as the area’s hottest country act triggering several unique opportunities. In 2006, the band became the official back up band for the local “Colgate Country Music Showdown”. The following year, the band competed in a local “battle of the bands” to win the privilege of opening for “Lonestar” at a local concert venue. This experience prompted them to begin creating their own original country music and as 2008 began, Wendy Owens and Renegade started the long and arduous process of song writing. In June of 2008 they were graced with yet another amazing opportunity to open the show for a National recording artist…this time it was Dierks Bentley. They were able to perform three of their original songs during the show, that the crowd welcomed and loved. They are currently gearing up to release their first full length CD as they continue to gather momentum and new fans as they wrangle their way into the Country music scene.
