Zane Suarez was born in Queens New York, singing at age 4 and playing guitar by 12. As a teenager and young adult he played in several bands, and co-founded the rock group Toys. Later, he was the front man for the glam slam band Trix and produced their album Shock Treatment.
Zane has performed on stage with Matchbox Twenty on VH1’s show You Rock. He also appeared on MTV’s Basement Tapes and won with his band Z Toys with the hit video Miami Breakdown, one of his first songs he wrote. Zane has worked with producers Tom Allom (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Def Leppard) Louis Martinee (Expose) and Greg Ladanyi (Fleetwood Mac, Don Henley, Jackson Browne). Zane has opened for Joan Jett, Girlschool and the legendary comedian Robert Klien. He has performed shows in New York, Miami, Atlanta, St. Louis, Dayton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, The Keys, Cancun, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Topanga, Los Angeles and Hollywood.
In 2009, Zane is getting ready for the release of his solo album Life Interrupts, on his own label Black Sheep Records, on which he played a multiple of instruments produced and arranged. With Tony Brock (The Babys, Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Barns, Elton John) mixing the album, it includes a unique interpretation of the Beatles hit, She Loves You. Zane is currently forming a new band with plans of a solo tour to follow.
