Details:
Tim Hus has a voice sweeter than a Husqvarna chainsaw, a wit that is sharper than rusty barbed wire, and a list of songs longer than a Saskatchewan fence line! He was recently signed to Stony Plain Records joining Corb Lund and the legendary Ian Tyson on the label.
The Alberta based singer with the black hat and easygoing personality is a captivating and crowd pleasing performer who easily draws listeners into the settings of his storytelling country and roots music. Tim''s distinctive songwriting and spirited performances by the members of his dynamic band stand as a cornerstone of authentic Canadiana!
Alberta Crude, Tim’s second full length CD captures the essence of Alberta and the Rocky Mountain West. From rodeo cowboys to gold seekers and gun fighters, from oil riggers, vintage tractors, and wildfires to the Discovery Well – this is a tip of the hat to the centennial: 100 years of Alberta.
Alberta Crude was released by Saved By Radio Records and received extensive airplay and a very positive response throughout Canada. Tim received the honour of representing the province of Alberta and performing the songs he had written at the prestigious Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C. The title song was included on a compilation album released by the Smithsonian Institute entitled ‘Wild Roses, Northern Lights’
