The release Gerald Lee Ames "Open Roads" is about finding personal freedom, love lost, love gained, trucks, western cavalry, and swing dancing. One of the more prominent tracks is a song entitled "You bring me home to love again." GLA delivers this powerful track as a dedication to everyone who serves our nation with Military and public service.
The song "Single Action Army Colt" features a story like song featuring the true life 1874 antique prop held by GLA on the album cover photo. (more info available at https://www.tradebit.com)
Ames himself has experience in public service and brings this mature insight into his unique art.
One can easily appreciate the melodic yet weathered vocal style of GLA. The writing talent is clear in the songs and the overall presentation is re-freshingly straight to the point.
"We''ve been able to make a little money for the charity portion of this journey, say hello to some new friends and touch fans on an emotional level. All simple, real stuff, and that''s what it is all about." GLA
Gerald Lee Ames is currently recording the highly anticipated follow up album to Open Roads, due for release in the fall of 2006.
