The Hibernia Consort is made up of Sue McGuiness, Wyatt Canady and their musical friends.
Sue has more than 30 years as a performing professional and is the featured vocalist on ten records and CDs. She began her musical career more than 40 years ago, as part of the folk revival, performing with the Wayfarers in Australia. In the 60s, she knew and performed with many of the great folk performers of England, Scotland and Ireland. Sue has lived in Houston, Texas since the early eighties, and has been a regular performer at the Texas Renaissance Festival, Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, and at many of the historic sites, including the Alamo, the San Jacinton Museum and aboard the Elisa, in Galveston.
Wyatt Canady has more than 10 years as a performing professional. He plays English Concertina, Guitar, Bodhran and Mandolin. With Sue, he has performed the Texas Renaissance Festival, Dickens on the Strand Galveston, at the Alamo, San Jacinto, and aboard the Elisa.
Hibernia Consort also performs popular music of the nineteenth century, particulary that of the Civil War era.
