This CD project is the culmination of a lifetime desire of wanting to professionally record the beautiful songs I first sang in my head and then to audiences. This desire started back to the times I sang in church choirs as I was often accused of putting a "jazz spin" on hymns and other inspirational music. It all seemed quite natural to me and so it wasn’t long after I realized my passion for jazz and blues, that I decided I had to do a recording of my idols like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Nancy Wilson. When I debuted my jazz stylings with a local band a few years ago, I knew I''d truly found my passion and I prayed I could pay honor to legendary vocalists as well as my contemporaries with my own special flavor. I consider myself a jazz enthusiast and I plan to keep singing jazzy music right into heaven.
