Raising Kane, a 5-piece metal/hard rock band, was formed in 2004 in St. Louis, Missouri. Originally known as ADHD, the band was comprised of Brett Ortwerth (guitar/vocals), Mason Marshall (Bass), Luke Thompson (Drums) and Brian Kinealy (Lead Guitar). In 2006, the band changed its name and re-vamped their style with the addition of Drew Morris on lead vocals.
Taking influence from bands such as Metallica, Pantera and all sorts of metal and rock, this band''s heavy, yet melodic metal sound has gained them significant attention in and around the St. Louis area. Their power-packed live shows have also earned them the opening slots for a wide range of big-name national bands including: Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Atreyu, Hellyeah, Black Tide, blessthefall, Otep, Bloodsimple, Kill Hannah, Gwen Stacy, and many more.
They have recently finished working on their full-length debut CD titled "Controlling The Machine" as well as their new EP entitled "Welcome Vacancy" which is currently available at local retailers, https://www.tradebit.com and the iTunes Music Store.
