Master Djembe Drummer Issa Coulibaly emigrated from Bamako, Mali to the United States in 2000 after many years of touring and recording in Africa and Europe with West African ensembles. He teaches and performs regularly all throughout New England and the East Coast including Puerto Rico. Recent events: several New York City performances including International Women’s Day, March ''09 with special guest First Lady Michelle Obama.
