A Note About the Project

Just beyond the notes, rhythms, harmonies, and academia, music, like life, is about movement through time and what happens during its course. Taking participants from one point to another, at its deepest level, music to me, is about the human experience - our journey, our tears, our love, and our laughter. It allows us to tell and to revisit our unique stories, dreams, and various inspirations, while also affording us the magical opportunity to witness those of others.

With each note I play, I am reminded of how each of us continues to be profoundly influenced by the many different people in our lives, as we in turn influence those around us. As role models, parents, children, teachers, friends, mentors, and colleagues of one another, the power and scope of our reach should never be underestimated.

A long time in its generation, this recording is a compilation of favorite music from my musical youth. It is my humble tribute to the countless human experiences that have come before, those that are happening now, and all of those that have yet to come. Past, Present, and Future.

Enjoy.
