Writer- Doug Gazlay- originally composed MABLE''S CHRISTMAS 13 years ago in 1992. It was released on his first Christmas cassette recording entitled - EVERY DAY IS CHRISTMAS WITH YOU. That recording is no longer in print.
When Doug decided to re-release it for YULETIDE FRIENDS (2005), he originally lined up Connie Forté to sing the lead. Connie was not comfortable being in the video version, so, Doug changed lead singers and lined up Amy Thorn to sing the new lead just 2 days before the album mix-down began.
Though Connie is still featured on the YULETIDE FRIENDS CD with the title track, she chose to not have her song placed as a bonus track on the main CD. Both Doug''s original version and Connie''s version of MABLES CHRISTMAS (2005) are included on this specially priced Maxi-Single CD.
As a bonus, Doug has included the performance track, which is available for live performance only. Any recording rights are held strictly by Doug Gazlay and should be licensed through his https://www.tradebit.com.
Amy Thorn performance of the song is included in three different versions. The RADIO EDIT with it''s shortened intro is perfect for stations in all markets and has already swept the world and is slated to begin play soon. Original album version with the crowd noise and full intro version without the crowd noise. The above mentioned performance track has no crowd noise, but the full piano intro.
