SALVADOR

A native of Mexico City, and a graduate of the famous National Conservatory of Music (Conservatorio Nacional de Musica) in that same city, Salvador composed his first song at the age of 7. He has been writing and performing music all of his life.

One of Salvador''s first gigs was playing piano with Arturo Romero and His Magic Violins at the renowned Sultan''s Table in the Dunes Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The group had the longest running continuous contract in the history of Las Vegas. During this time, they accompanied Eleanor Powell, and they also made several guest appearances on The Andy Williams Show.

Returning to Mexico City, Salvador became the musical director for the television program Buenas Tardes Musicales, featuring Raul Vale, and he has also accompanied many other famous singers and entertainers, including Alejandro Algara, Daniel Riolobos, Irma Carlón, Carmen Salinas, Rocío Dúrcal, JoséJosé, and Manuel "Loco" Valdéz, to name a few.

A prolific composer, Salvador also wrote the entire musical score for the movie El Hombre Biónico, and has written a number of commercial jingles as well.

SYLVIA

Sylvia began her musical career almost as early as she could talk, under the tutelage of her mother, who was the director of their local church choir. She continued to study music and voice at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and at Wilmington College, in Wilmington, Ohio, and later at La Escuela Libre de Música, in Mexico City.

Her music has taken her from Ohio, where she grew up, to Mexico City, where she met Salvador, and from there, to Las Vegas, where the two of them performed at several of the casinos on the Strip. She and Salvador now reside in San Diego, CA, where they continue to perform in clubs, on television, and at private functions for both Latin and North American audiences.

Sylvia''s career in Mexico City spanned the time when the city had an incredible night life, and she became well known and respected as the featured entertainer at the famous Mauna Loa and Delmonico''s Restaurants. She made several guest appearances on the television show Hoy Mismo with Guillermo Ochoa, and also performed in the Spanish stage production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the Teatro Manolo Fabregas, with Olga Breeskin.

One of the more exciting moments in Sylvia''s career while she was in Mexico City occurred on Christmas Day, 1973, when she was asked to sing in the chorus at the Palacio Nacional de Bellas Artes for the presentation of Pablo Casals'' oratorio El Pesebre (The Manger). She shared the stage with the famous tenor Plácido Domingo.

Sylvia sings, plays the flute, the crystal piccolo, the clarinet, the harmonica, and various rhythm instruments, including castanets, maracas, and tambourine.

In addition to her music, Sylvia also has a passion for horses, and she has won several championships in the United Stated Dressage Federation. She also trains horses and gives riding lessons.
