Details:
From the Americana opening track of 68 Skylark (featuring his full band) to sparse acoustic tunes like Stolen Bicycles, New York City Folk rocker Paul Sachs covers a lot of musical territory as his influences from Springsteen to Waits shine on the Refuge.

Recorded in different studios over a span of three years, including Sachs’ apartment, it was produced by him and New York City engineer Al Houghton. It features several guest musicians, including singer/songwriter Amy Allison and Cellist, Abby Newton.

From the comical story of Old Boyfriends to the severity of the fear of what we can become in Crazy Ivy, The Refuge is how the past effects our decisions and relationships later on in life as love and loss permeate all the songs.
