Sweet Traditional Country Music for the country music fan
10 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Traditional Country, COUNTRY: Modern Country
Details:
One afternoon in November 1987 with a few words on a small piece of paper, Greg said to Ken, "I have these idea." And then a few minutes later Lady''s Cabin was born.
Greg Rafferty and Ken Tomlinson Jr. first met while they were in the U. S. Air Force. They both liked country music and started singing in Ken''s living room when they had time. They have been writing country songs for 15 years
Greg was born and raised in Colorado, began playing the guitar when he was eight and grew up listening to country music. Hank Williams and many other older artists were a strong influence on him.
Ken was born and raised in Louisiana, began listening to music from the time he was born, mainly because of his Dad always having music on. Growing up he listened to all kinds of music but mostly country because that was what was played at home.
They both like a lot of the new country that''s out, but the old roots remain strong. Honky Tonkin'', drinking, cheating songs have always been a part of country music, but feel that their songs are moving toward the "love" aspect that''s always been a part of country music.
The CD "Songs Among Friends" has taken 15 years to make. It is full dreams and hopes of two men who love to make music. All of the songs come from the heart and fun that they had while in the Air Force. The song "How Do You Tell A Friend Goodbye" was written when Greg got orders to Germany.
