Violinist and recording artist Anna Schaad''s third release "the Journey," is filled with intricate compositions woven around and through an epic tale. A blending of classical, celtic, and blues influences, Schaad''s music reflects an innovative, eclectic style that has earned her a remarkably diverse audience. Through lyrical classical lines, whiskey-fed blues riffs, and celtic yarns, the Journey tells the story of a woman who travels into a Supernatural world;
"The album began in response to my experience of "wandering off" into my imagination, which I have done since I was a child. It is interesting that people sometimes tell their kids they will never get anywhere with "their head in the clouds." I believe our imaginations are where all that we create in life begins.
The story begins when a woman is drifting off into her imagination one day and she hears a haunting, faraway melody. She feels compelled to follow this path further than ever before, and this magical thing happens where she actually crosses over into another dimension. Thus begins her Journey through a Supernatural landscape within which the trappings and limitations of her life fall away. Each of the songs in the album is a chapter in the story of this experience," says Schaad.
According to Schaad, "My music reflects my background in classical music, celtic and and american fiddling, blues and pop genres. It is intended for listeners of all ages and all walks of life. It is my desire to reach something universal inside of people - the search to find inspiration and beauty in life, and to tempt people to explore their own creative impulse."
