Details:
Mr. Petry is an electric bass player born in Brazil. Played with a number of rock bands and has now decided to go solo. Mr. Petry has always been fond of unusual sounds and experimental music that is accessible to all sorts of ears, an idea which is the main rule behind his second album, Prize. Mr. Petry played most of the instruments on the album, except for the drums, which were played by Giles Pedley, and some of the guitars, by Steve Pedley, both colleagues in another project.
The music sounds sometimes psychedelic, others poppy, sometimes rocky and every now and then unfamiliar. A Brazilian website site once described the music as "a classy Southern Brazilian psychedilia." A joy.
Mr. Petry is going to university this year to do a music degree. He is yet unsure how that is going to affect his recording life. One thing is for sure: the future is looking interesting for him.
