Hey Y''all,

Get your OWN Biodiesel Rebel apparel at the link listed below. This is the beginning of my trip to an unknown destination. Watch that page for updates, maybe, I don''t know. I did not even know I was going to write this note with this e-mail until right now. What I DO know is this:
Last Labor Day, 2005, I was returning from a trip down near San Antonio, and stopped by Carl''s Corner just north of the Y in I-35 north of Hillsboro, Texas, returning to the McKinney area, where I live. As I stopped to slake my Cummins diesel engine''s thirst with B95 biodiesel, I found, much to my dismay, that biodiesel prices had crept upward ($2.92/gal) with petrodiesel prices in the wake of the Katrina greed scramble.

My Dad, John Kisinger, passed away in December, 2003, from complications associated with adult-onset diabetes. From my 12th birthday on, he was always, as a farmer/rancher in Baylor County, Texas, looking for a "cash crop." He had 19 acres on my Grandma''s place which was not in the farm program. One year it was field corn, Another, it was purple hull peas. Then he planted guar. Ever heard of it? It''s a legume, kinda like soybeans. Didn''t make much sense to me then (c1966), but boy, I was sure thankful I didn''t have to SHUCK CORN or SHELL PEAS again!!

Anyway, I thought biodiesel was to be the NEXT "cash crop" (if there ever was such a thing) for our farmers. OH NO! As on Labor Day last, the middle man got it! Boy was I mad! I spent the entire way back to good old McKinney writing a song called "Biodiesel Rebel." Then I designed a Biodiesel Rebel Flag to go on the t-shirts;
.

A BIG portion of the profits on these items will be used by me to inform people that we DO NOT want opec involved with our biodiesel, NOR do we want our biodiesel to be TAXED. Let the foreign imports pay for any regulation the government deems (and you KNOW it WILL) necessary.

And who''s gonna listen to little old me?? I don''t know, but I just can''t keep my mouth shut. I''ve talked to people in rural Texas towns who have "heard of" biodiesel, but that''s about it. If you would like to know more about how biodiesel works, is produced, etc., go to the Biodiesel Rebel apparel web page listed on the left.

My next letter will be something like (or may include verbatim, as a start) this one, to all my state and national congressmen. You write''em too, please. Sincerely,

Bill Kisinger
Biodiesel Rebel

P.S. Dad used to say, "Bill, a good start is half the job."

Mr. Walker bring''em BACK
And give our FARMS that BONE;
Gag opec on her BLACK GOLD,
Let''s make do with OUR OWN..................BIODIESEL
