This CD was an evolutionary process of many years of reciting the Jaap Sahib prayer. Delving into the meaning of Guru Gobind Singh''s words/prayer and listening deeply to the comments of Yogi Bhajan, I realized that experiencing the CD with meditation would be the best way to get the effect that Guru Gobind SIngh experienced when he compased this.
The music is mostly rythmic accompanyment(drums and percussion) and repeated recitation of the opening prayer/invocation Called a "Mangala Charan". It was created for the teaching module I did for the Jaap Sahib course taught June 19th, 2006 for Sikh Dharma International in New Mexico, USA.
The sound is VERY catchy and almost techno in flavor but very happy and engaging. The voice of Yogi Bhajan is commanding and takes the listener into a deep quest of God consiousness.
The Kriya or meditation that is included in the package gives a great way to develop a daily meditative practice and deepen one''s intuition.
