Performing from Seattle to Saint Augustine and points in between this is a combination of crowd favorites.
Tunes Like Raining co-written by Everedy Brown began for me in Jacksonville Florida as Downtown Danny Brown and I recorded it in Homestead studios. It gained momentum as a crowd pleaser performed for beer money in the streets in Seattle, late 80’s and was a favorite at the Mill Top Tavern in my happy hour show Saint Augustine Florida.
My Girlfriend is an Alien was written in 97 and introduced in a club (I just don’t remember the name, but can see the place) on the Bossier strip, Shreveport Louisiana’s bad girl sister city. The tune received standing ovation the first night out and has had many since.
Stevie Jones was written in the john at work, people seem to love it, and is one of my most requested tunes and the oldest in this line up. Cindy if your still out there, its for you.
Other Side of your Heart written in army barracks at Fort Eustis VA got real popular in Hot Springs Ark, I had a happy hour show in Players across the street from the horse track . Born in a Cadillac got popular there as well, there was this old black man worked the kitchen he’d come out for Cadillac, never new his name, but his burgers were over the top.
Little Things swelled at the Bar None Saloon. It was a prime time show I’d skip break and do a lot of new covers to keep em going the tips were mighty and they loved Little Things.
Kerosene was introduced to me in the back of a Cadillac on the way to a Mustang Sally show in Little Rock. Sonny said listen to this, I was hooked. Since then I always plug the Bottle Rockets it one of my fans favorites, its a reality song, its gotta be that line,” If kerosene works why not gasoline” my people love it, you will too.
Blew off school with Tony Stampley, somewhere in between hotels, motels and midnight coaches he, Hank Jr. and Buck Moore wrote Nashville Scene, its been in every show of mine since, people love Bocephus, watch for my next release there will probably be another Hank tune there, I always cover them, they’re fun and people love em!
See Y’all from the stage Nobody from Nowhere
