Greenville has a growing legion of dedicated international fans!!! Check them out at a venue near you!!
Or just drop them a line!!!
Greenville was formed in Barcelona, Spain in Spring 2007 by Jay Harden on guitar and Naomi Saska Wedman on violin. With over thirty years of professional musical experience, they continue to expand and develop their repertoire with Harden..s original songs and classics from the annals of Traditional Fiddle tunes, country, bluegrass, jazz, Americana, blues and all that can be done with two voices, a guitar and violin.
Jay Michael Harden was raised on Highway 61 just outside of Minneapolis, and traversed the USA from the Portland, Oregon and Seattle music scene, over to Chicago and up and down the Mississippi to New Orleans. His earthy vocals and playing come from years in the clubs, bars and festivals in and around Northwest USA and Canada.
Naomi Saska Wedman from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada brings her outstanding fiddle playing and vocals to Greenville. As a classically trained violin player, composer and founding member of V.O. Quartet, she bridges the gap between the virtuoso playing of the classical world and the great soul and feel of the traditional worlds. Given the spotlight, Saska Wedman has left many crowds breathless with her beautiful solos and harmony singing.
On any given night https://www.tradebit.com likely to hear now-classic Harden originals such as Get Along or That..s Me, Baby That..s Me, the usual crowd joining in on the choruses, or Greenville digs deep into the Americana roots they know so well to play Dylan, Velvets, Grateful Dead, Muddy Waters, Duke Ellington, Gram Parsons, Johnny Cash, Blondie…..ahh the list goes on….
