Marulk finds inspiration from classic bands such as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Black Sabbath and Captain Beyond as well as contemporary bands like Clutch, Colour Haze and Brant Bjork.
The band is a strong live unit with a classic rock attack, stage presence and an instrumental flair with echoes of improvised rock from the psychedelic era. The band prides itself in being a spontaneous and creative live act, adding improvisation and the occasional classic rock track to its repertoire and has of yet never played the same setlist twice.
Marulk, touring internationally since 2007 with a strong DIY-work ethic, has gained a growing fanbase with only promo material this far. A brand new single is recently released and in September 2009 the band will have released its debut album.
