Details:
''Dizrhythmia'' were formed in Queenstown during the winter of 1992, when two Wellingtonian''s came together in the Southern climes, with a view to writing and recording original material.

Philip Hartshorn (formerly drummer with ''The Jonahs'' & ''Toys in the Attic'') met Carlton McRae (bassist from ''The Pagans'') at a 4th of July party and established a repoire, with similar musical aspirations.

They quickly had a small collection of originals together and started performing at the local markets on Saturday mornings.

''Recipes for Modern Life'' (Racing Mind Records) was released in 1996, by which time we had played pubs and cafes in Queenstown, Dunedin & Wellington and had been privy to some national radio and television exposure.

The largely acoustic sound (described by Nick Bollinger as ''psychedelic folk'') was enhanced by Craig Monk & Jo Joass (Hobnail Boots) (violin''s), Emily Bacon & Nigel Collins (Cello''s), Grant Hannis (trumpet), Matt Newdick (bass) and Annette Davidson (backing vocals).

''Dizrhythmia'' were dormant for a few years late last century, but have recorded the odd song since 2000 and are currently planning to record and release another work.
