Lithium: a highly reactive chemical element used in the making of thermonuclear weapons, and a word to describe one of the Pacific Northwest’s newest up and coming bands- Lithium Fix. With a diverse set of rock music inspirations, Lithium Fix sets the stage with a variety of rock styles- from ballads to grooves to progressive tendencies. One evening with Lithium Fix has kept audiences wanting more.
An energetic sound, an explosive stage show, and progressively simplistic musicianship is the Lithium Fix recipe for disaster. Turning up the heat on the band’s new CD release Method To The Madness, Lithium Fix is striving to make a name for itself in an ever-changing music industry. By displaying ideas such as musical diversity and dynamic songwriting, Lithium Fix plans to do just that.
Comprised of former members of the northwest’s bands Sea Of Souls, Suite Alibi, and Reignstorm, Lithium Fix offers a lengthy history of stage experience and professionalism that seems to separate the men from the boys in today’s modern music industry. Guitarist Greg Jamison and bassist Dave Steele Taylor started the band through late night "rock fights" that evolved and acquired drummer Henry Ford Rice IV. Adding the finishing touches is vocalist/ frontman Dion Wilhelm.
Lithium Fix pulls its influences from a variety of sources. The heavy grooves of Black Sabbath, the diverse musicality of Led Zeppelin, as well as the modern progressiveness of Dream Theater, the band sets its sights high, to put them in a category shared by many top-notch musicians. By writing around such a diverse range of rock music influences, Lithium Fix can easily reach out to equally diverse audiences.
With a style that is not shared with many northwest bands, the band prides itself on a sound that is fresh, uncommon, and filled with talent. Lithium Fix reaches out to rock music fans who are tired of bands that cannot stand the test of time. Call it progressive, call it aggressive, call it groove oriented rock… Lithium Fix calls it progressagressagroove, and it is coming your way soon!
