full length album is finally on its way, it has taken more than three years (2006-2009) to complete. Marie Glad has released a total of three EPs as a member of the band “Royal Sister” and as a solo artist. The date for the debut album release is set for 14 th of October and the first single with “Rescue me” and "Songbirds" is out now.
“Rescue me” is about yearning, dreams, to be at a place where everything is still but the heart can move mountains. Her powerful voice joins forces with an unexpected soft expression while her sound touches various pop genres without restraint. From deep love to unbearable sorrow and everything in between. Two forces joined together in the music, something that you can’t get hold off and something very down to earth.
”Songbirds” is bare feet and heart on a sunny day. Tickling strings of a naked guitar, sand covered drums, a voice in love and a playful double bass join forces just for the sake of exposing hope for everyone to see.
