Das Goravani was born in Oakland California in 1960. He attended music college at UC Santa Cruz. He toured the world as an assistant to a famous Hindu leader for awhile, raised a family, taught himself programming, astrology, and other things, made an entrepreneurial living on these things, and is recognized as an accomplished authority on matters relating to Hindu thought and especially Hindu Astrology. His music reflects his great amount of Eastern contact, as well as a touch of his love for his own Celtic roots.
