Details:
I wrote the title song for my first CD "Changing My Point of View" as a middle-aged woman''s anthem, focusing on the idea that we may be over 40, but we''re not dead yet! There are very few artists who write and sing music specifically from the middle-aged woman''s perspective. My songs are personal but also universal. I use my life experiences, along with many years of performing pop, standards, cabaret, rock & roll, and musical theatre to inform my musical style. On my CD, each song features piano/keyboards, guitars, bass, and drums. I add horns, strings, and sax as appropriate for each song style. Some of my musical influences are Bette Midler, Carole King, Karla Bonoff, Linda Ronstadt, and Bonnie Raitt. I even wrote a song called "I Wanna Be Bette" that is on my CD. Another big musical influence is my 20-year-old daughter Erin, who is also a singer/songwriter and has her own CD "Luminous." She has inspired me to "Change My Point of View" and pursue my musical dream!
