Sligo (Ireland) born, Ray Coen is well known as a guitarist and fiddle player to music lovers in the Sligo and Leitrim areas. He is also a highly regarded music tutor. Ray has recorded before with Mactire, a traditional group, and Cadenza and plays regularly with members of the ''No Crows'', two of whom play on his album.

For many it will be a surprise to see Ray in a new light, recording an album of his own songs. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at Brian McDonagh’s (Dervish) studio in Sligo.
