Fed a steady diet of lentils and Indian music as a child, Prita has acquired more than just an Indian name.. with various styles of music being played as the backdrop to her early years - by osmosis - Prita has absorbed Stevie Wonder, Julio Iglesias, Bob Marley and Indian https://www.tradebit.com well as a healthy dose of Crowded House, Tracy Chapman and Lauren Hill. Her newly acquired addition of loop pedal (loopy Fred) has taken her music from a solid folk-jazz-soul sound to a beatsy layering of vocal harmonies, hand percussion and guitar. Recent shows include supports for Carus, Tin Pan Orange and Nathan Gaunt and with an EP under her belt and an album and Live EP on the way.. Prita is carving her path in the Music industry. Overseas gigs include - a month residency in Thailand 5 star resort, gigs in New York, San Diego, Fort Lauderdale, St Barts, St Maartin, Harbour Island, Bahamas and Puerto Rico. 2009 includes European Tour - Athens, Berlin, Uk, Estonia, Copenhagen.. and the recording of her next full length album!!
