Details:
Mark Ceaser''s percussive guitar and heavy rhythm set the tone for his sincere story telling and emotionally driven songwriting. His new solo project is a natural step forward from his previous work with folk rockers Sexually Attracted to Fire. Over the last two years Mark Ceaser has performed at the Regina Folk Festival, Ness Creek Music Festival, JunoFest and Canadian Music Week, sharing the stage with Sarah Slean, Wil, Rachelle van Zanten, David Celia, Peter Katz, and Cuff the Duke.
Mark Ceaser’s debut EP, titled Burma Road, is a collection of experiences, emotions, and responses to growing up on the Canadian Prairies. His contemporary folk lyrics expose the complexity and reality of rural living. Ceaser enlists the talents of producer Ross Nykiforuk (The Northern Pikes, Deep Dark Woods) to create songs that give listeners a place to go that is both fresh yet familiar.
