Julie has acquired an unquenchable thirst for the arts, from her family background. A dad who entertained his entire life across Great Britain and then Canada, and a mom who worked in fashion and design. Is it any wonder that she has a great love for poetry, fine art and graphics, as well as the musical canvases she currently paints upon.
The release of her first album in the spring of 2000 Middle Ground resulted in a schedule of hectic proportions with a calendar of over 200 dates in the following year, with many highlights and great experiences along the way.
The songs here on Garage Band (posted early 2007) are from this collection of songs written pre 1999, and so they are just a taste of the musical collections that have been completed by Jules and the accomplished musicians who lent their time and talent. I hope you enjoy them and keep checking back as new pieces will be added from time to time.
A second CD titled A Day In The Life released in the spring of 2004 is a collection of songs written past and present with great finesse and movement that truly show her love for music itself. A moment in time, full of philosophy and discovery. A refreshing acoustic album that was definitely worth the wait.
Winter of 2005 brought a collection of ghost tracks recorded in May of that year. It''s a 5 song demo with Julie''s daughter Linz accompanying on piano. It''s a very special recording with great ambiance and honesty. "I still get chills when I hear this CD, it was definately an experience Linz and I will never forget" Julie states.
Currently still writing and playing live at every opportunity, Jules also hosts a weekly Open Mic Night in Chatham, Ontario. Tuesdays at 10pm, at the Elephant''s Nest pub and grub. The music is always inspiring and the food and service is always excellent.

"I''m influenced by life and love, living and loss, friends and their stories, and the many musicians who have weaved their way into this tapestry of time. Writing has become my passion, and my therepy." she claims, and getting to perform the songs live is about as good as it gets."
"I love playing my set at"Open Mic"at the Nest. It''s where I test drive all of my original material, and where I hone my skills as an original live artist,"she says. "I''ve played live in many formats including a 4pc rock band, an acoustic trio and duo and as a single.
There is no better way to express myself than playing guitar and singing my heart out. I continue to write and perform as often as I can."
Jules is presently recording her third studio album for release later this year. Songs include an updated version of "Rearrange"
