Ramm, Moretti and Cunliffe have come together to explore their common musical ground. This eclectic collection of music draws from their past and present influences. Here they have merged their sound with drummer Marty Richards and bassist Marty Ballou to bring you Foundations. Each of them have been leaders of their own internationally charted recordings which include several Grammy nominations and have a deep history in the traditions of the music. Some of the major artists they have played and recorded with include; Dave Liebman, Mike Stern, Sweets Edison, George Duke, Steve Winwood, Bruce Springsteen, Nile Rodgers and a host of other legendary jazz, soul and rock stars. The music on this recording is a tribute in a way to the past and present history of jazz and improvisation styles. The recording was done live in the studio with one or two takes and is meant to be enjoyed as a live set of music.
