Served in Viet Nam with the 11th Armored Calvary in ''69-''70.
Wounded in Action on the eve of going into Cambodia in 1970.
Was married to Barbara Manning in 1974 and shared a life with her
until she passed away in February 2008.
Attended Champlain College, Norwich University and Graduated from Lyndon State College.
Raised 4 children who have provided numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Until recently, I worked for the Veterans Administration.
Started writing songs in Spring of 2007 as the result of encouragement from Kimberly Moran of the NH Rock Bottom Band.
The first song I wrote was "What My Heart Sees"
This song was recognized as a top 5 song of the month in
Songwriter Universe Magazine''s January 2008 Contest
https://www.tradebit.com
This encouraged me to keep writing.
I was selected as a finalist in "Song Of The Year Contest" for August 2007
In the lyrics category for "Funeral Balled"
https://www.tradebit.com
This song has received a lot of praise from members of the Patriot Guard Riders and members of the American Legion Riders, as depicting what they do.
"The Heart Commits Treason" was selected as the winner,
in the Country genre, for the month of January 2009, in the Song Of The Year Contest
Currently, I live in Hartland, Vermont and work on my lyrics thanks to the encouragement of a very special lady, Cindy May (Day) Wilkesman, who has partnered with me to publish this, my first album.
Please note that I am a writer, not a singer. While the artists on these songs do a great job, I hope to one day have my songs picked up by well known stars and performed. I think Toby Keith would do an excellent job on “Funeral Ballad” or Alan Jackson doing my “No More To Give”.
I hope to one day actually hear a song I wrote on the radio and climbing the charts. In the meantime, I hope that you enjoy these compositions of mine.
