Space age dominatrix Tranie Tronic, incarnates an electro pop 80''s sound, with a touch of old school rap. Having debuted in 2004 during Montreal’s Divers/Cite Festival, Tranie Tronic continued to perform at music venues around the city with a mission to transform societal views on sexuality and making love relationships more acceptable within the transgender community. The year 2009 marks the release of Tranie Tronic’s debut album Transmission, featuring collaborations with techno musician Steve Orton, folk-pop musicians Annabelle Chvostek and Jordi Rosen, and strings by Charles Meinen of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. Transmission was recorded mainly with an old Yamaha KM1X, a Roland 303, a Korg Kaos Pad and other bits of electronic gear.
