Having spent two years putting our project together, in 2008 we released our debut studio EP "The Quarange Tree", a follow up from our "Live At The Huntingdon Hall" EP. Our studio recording received positive feedback from promoters and agents, and we were asked to support Folk musician Cara Dillon in Oct/Nov 2008. Our first batch of CD''s sold out during the tour. We''ve also been performing with other amazing artists including Richie Havens, Kathryn Williams, Tinariwen, Spencer Davis, The Blues Band, Country Joe McDonald, Glenn Tilbrook, Nick Harper, Walter Trout and Ben''s Brother among many.
What the press say about us.
"It''s tough to believe that these guy''s have only been together for a couple of years. The Quarange Tree should see them making waves further afield. However, simply because of the quality of the songs" - Acoustic Magazine
"Morales/Watts play an immensely dynamic set, including a mix of folk and jazz that shows their remarkable gift for song writing" - BBC North Yorkshire
"Intricate acoustic Folksiness, It''s tender hearted. Entirely loveable for the Tom McCrae/Damien Rice demographic" - Venue Magazine
"The subtle combination of acoustic guitar and violin with Morales’s tender but powerful voice brings a sense of warmth and emotional yearning to the auditorium. Their lazy transcendental sound owes much to gentle jazz and has its identity firmly routed in folk and roots music. It’s thoughtful and perfectly relaxing" - Wiltshire Times
"As one of the hardest- working acts in the region, it''s only a matter of time!" - Somerset Standard & Guardian
