Randy Nelson is a singer/songwriter with a passion to say it in a song. Born and raised in a northern Indiana blue collar town, he is just a simple guy expressing feelings through lyric and tones. Layered ambient textures of acoustic melodies, with heartfelt and catchy lyric and rhyme would best describe this music. Simply put, his songs are straight from the heart and roll with a melody that is hard to resist.
He has preformed live with many rock/blues bands throughout his career, along with several acoustic ensembles and projects, but this is his first solo-acoustic album release. Prior to this collection, his first album “Just A Dream” was released in 2007.
His earliest musical influence was with The Beatles, and to this day still is. But aside from his infatuation with the “Fab Four”, there have been many significant singer/songwriters that have inspired him with his songwriting style. Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Kris Kristofferson, are but a few of a long list of very influential artists that you might hear traits of in his songs.
Randy Nelson’s music is about life…..the good, the bad, and the ugly. Whether writing of a love lost, a lonely night, or just sands through the hourglass, his songs are a melodic expression of a reality that speak to the heart with a warm sense of conviction and rhyme that will leave you yearning for more.
