Directed by pianist Thierry Gautier, this trio performs its own arrangements of jazz standards among original compositions by pianist Thierry Gautier and bassist Alain Dumont.
The identity of this trio emerges from the reconciliation of select influences. Inspired by today''s musical trends from ethnic music to new jazz, the Thierry Gautier Trio is also influenced by a filiation with jazz giants as diverse as M. Petrucciani, O. Peterson and B. Evans.
In the melodic themes played by this trio, lyricism and freedom are wisely intertwined: a musical inheritance expresses itself with resolute modernity.

Dirigé par le pianiste Thierry Gautier, le répertoire de ce trio français est constitué en grande partie de compositions du pianiste, mais aussi de compositions du contrebassiste Alain Dumont. Le reste du répertoire propose un panel de standards ré-arrangés par le trio.
Influencé par les musiques actuelles et ethniques, cette formation est à la recherche perpétuelle d''un son, d''une identité sonore qui lui est propre.
