Details:
Nearly ten years ago during the aftermath of the greatest time in history (the 80''s) two men started an experience in techno pop. In the unlikely little capitol of Pennsylvania, Berkhouse and Snyder began working together on electronic music as a fluke after Charles had left the band "Those Guys" and Barry had left the band known as "Sonic Silence". The two started to create some unique and melodic music - Charles as the lead composer and Barry as the lyricist and drum tracker. Eventually, they became proficient at fashioning well-crafted euro pop type songs with warm synthy arrangements, clever lyrics, emotional vocals and unforgettable hooks. Berkhouse and Snyder began to use local vocal talent and thus make a name in the underground as Uro. In addition to their original music, the duo developed its unique classic yet neoteric identity. They had always been slightly styled with fashion and imagery even in their early beginnings. Donning sharp styles with comic book art and spacey themes for years, they have usually been a head of the times in not only their music but also their vogue. Slightly eccentric and whimsical they continued to evolve. Realizing they were becoming more than a simple techno pop act. They started working on remixes for artists like Jewel, Treaydonya, and even Poncho Sanchez. With the movement of their synth pop styles the emerging duo began to garner some notoriety in clubs, record pools, music channels and other venues with songs like "The Things You Barely Said", "Before the Moment''s Gone", "Techno Theory Action", "Launch When Ready" and "All I Do". After taking a few years off, they sprang forward with a spirit revitalized at reclaiming their former posterity and genuine identity and marketability. Berkhouse and Snyder produced fresh new works with zeal and bent creativity. They once again began working with new local talent such as Katie Janes, Greg Gongaware, Mike Keller, and James Ridge. Genuine integrity is what these two nutters are and have always been about. Every melodic song, every tongue in cheek lyric, every twisted photo, every comic book smile, every online foray, every meaningful performance, every club classic, every silly antic, every honest work, the duo known as Berkhouse/Snyder stroll in with subtle humility and bold authenticity. Yes, the original creators of the Potential Zero (No Mercy Mix). Berkhouse synths, keyboards, arrangements, vocals| Confident, vibrant, and a bit looney, Berkhouse''s evolving musical skills furnish the strength and song structure of the retro-pop influenced duo. His love for keyboard driven music is evident in his commitment to producing solid, cohesive euro, techno, dance, and retro-pop tracks. With a past rooted in structured styles of Euro-pop such as the Pet Shop Boys, Human League, and Erasure, his playing style makes itself known in his melodic string and pad compositions, pulsating bass lines, and catchy synth arrangements. He''s heavy into yielding a quality sound and mix. Berkhouse loves a thick techno tune that will stick in your mind and that is what he does. Fun loving and brash, Berkhouse delivers a lighthearted zany whimsy in his attitude and technique. His genuine up-beat joviality lends to his determination to see each song through to its logical conclusion and that vision solidifies the artistry of Berkhouse/Snyder. Snyder vocals, drum tracks, lyrics, artwork Introspective, fashionable, and somewhat neurotic, Snyder brings a subtle sense of style and satire to the retro-pop duo as the lead vocalist, primary lyricist, and artist.

His unique and versatile range of vocal styles blend well with Berkhouse''s almost falsetto harmonies. And the lyrics Snyder writes are abstract and tend to conjure imagery and concepts that coalesce with the music and the duo''s identity. It''s not only what you see and hear outside, but also inside.

Snyder''s off-center imagination assists him when working drum tracks, effects, lyrics, and production as he and Berkhouse fashion well-crafted songs that stick to your mind, body, and soul. This commitment to innovation cultivates an enigmatic mood and feeling within the music and art of Berkhouse/Snyder.
