Details:
Noah C. DeGarmo began studying piano at the age of 7. He has studied with Naoko Hague and Iris Graffman Wenglin in Boston, Xak Bjerken at Cornell University, and Alan Chow at the Northwestern University School of Music. He has performed as piano soloist for Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue in Boston and Japan at the International Music Festival in Kumamoto, and Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto with the Cornell University Symphony Orchestra. He has played in master classes with Leon Fleischer and Tong-Il Han. Most recent performances include dual recitals with violinists in New York City and Chicago. In addition to the piano, he has played the oboe since age 9, last performing with the Bach Society Orchestra in New York City and tour throughout Germany. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Piano Performance at Cornell University and Doctor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, specializing in Emergency Medicine.
