Sylvia Haskvitz, Registered Dietitian (since 1983) and Certified Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Trainer (since 1989), played with both of her lifelong passions in writing this book—food/food psychology and Compassionate Communication. Sylvia has been sharing NVC in a variety of venues since 1989. She is the past host of the radio show, “Call in a Conflict,” the former television host for “People Skills,” and her essay, “Enemy Images” was published in the book, Healing Our Planet, Healing Ourselves. Her monthly column, “Finding the ‘Right’ Words” is published by Tucson West Publishing. She co-wrote the chapter "Conflict Resolution and Understanding of Self; Key Aspects of Nonviolent Communication" in the book, One Paradigm, Many Worlds; Conflict Resolution Across the Disciplines, a college textbook. Sylvia offers community courses, mediation, communication coaching, and one-on-one and couples sessions. She also works with businesses and organizations around the country. She lives in Tucson, Arizona.
