Finally ©© the Andy Breckman debut album is out! Gadfly Records is proud to release "Don''t Get Killed" from songwriter/humorist Andy Breckman. Breckman, now 49, was a regular on the New York folk circuit in the late ''70s. His songs are unique and hysterically twisted... ranging from the unforgettable, often©covered "Railroad Bill" to the New York anthem "Don''t Get Killed."
At that time, "New York Times* writer Stephen Holden said, "If Woody Allen had taken up folk singing, he would be Andy Breckman." In the early ''80s, Breckman put his guitar away and concentrated on writing comedy for television. He won an EMMY AWARD in 1981, then wrote for LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, then for SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.
Recently, he''s been writing for the movies, penning SARGEANT BILKO and RAT RACE. And now he''s back! And Gadfly Records has got him! This first album is a collection of live performances recorded in recent years.
A treat for old friends! A surprise for new friends! "Don''t Get Killed" by Andy Breckman!
