Hi. I''m David M. McCray. "The Promise" is my second CD available through https://www.tradebit.com. I live in Elgin, Illinois with my fiancee Candy and our two shi-tzus Dizzy and Ella and record the music heard here in our basement, the home of Bootstraps Recordings. I am a graduate student at the school of music at Northern Illilnois University, working towards my masters degree in jazz arranging. That keeps me busy, but I still find time to write, record, and play whatever gig may come along. "The Promise" has something for everybody. "GBop" is an upbeat, jazzy tune. "Movin'' Ahead" is soft-rockish. "Decide" is acoustic and personal. "Mistreatment Boogie" is a harder rockin'' blues boogie. "The Promise" is sort of folk rocky. "Misty Green Resolution" is slow, jazzy, and kind of spacey. "Broken Prism" is funky and "Window Shopping" is Latinish, with a fluegelhorn solo by a very talented friend, Jon McQuade. "Blue & Purple Song" is my fiance''s favorite song of mine, with a long spacey intro with synths and water sounds, and a short hard rock sound at the end. "Uppity-Up-Up-Up" is what my Mom used to say to get me out of bed, rest her sainted soul. "New Memories" is a quick acoustic rock song about not living in the past. I''m trying not to do that. Live in the present and the future, but you can never go back to the past. I hope you enjoy "The Promise" as much as I enjoyed creating it. Also check out my first CD to sell on CDBaby, "Prospect St." Thanks. - David M. McCray
