Angela has been studying bel canto technique for more than nine years and is presently studying with Beverley Hissam at BH Singer Studio. She first began studies with Carol Forsythe of McGrail School of Voice in Pittsburgh until she passed. This is her second year as a student of Ms. Hissam.
Angela has dubbed herself as an Italophile: someone who is passionate about everything Italian. “I think Italy has produced the world’s most beautiful music, the most enjoyable cuisine, the finest wine, the most romantic language and of course the handsomest men.”
She has just released a CD collection of Neapolitan songs entitled Italian Festival Favorites. It includes: “Comme facette màmmeta?” “Funiculì Funiculà,” “La danza,” Marechiare,” ‘O sole mio,” ‘O paese d’ ‘o sole,” and “Santa Lucia.”
All songs are performed in the original language and composition accompanied by the Orchestra & Chorus of Campagnia d’Opera Italiana from Milan, Italy under the direction of Director Antonello Gotto.
Although passionate about Italian music, Angela feels her greatest passion in life is mothering her children. She feels the greatest gift she can offer them is in teaching them how to live, laugh and love. Angela lives just south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband, Todd, and their four adopted children.
