Candice Alley stormed onto the Australian music scene with her debut single Falling. As one of the hits of 2003, Falling claimed a Top 5 spot in the charts and Candice became the Number 1 Australian Artist to feature on the National Airplay, charting for 32 weeks. Not bad for a song that took her 20 minutes to write! On the back of the success of Falling anddebut album Colorblind Candice supported Enrique Iglesias Australian Tour. She also opened at the 2003 ARIAs on the same night she was nominated for Best New Artist Single.
Candice has now consolidated upon the success of her debut album this time as an independent artist. Having spent the past 20 months writing new material, Candice has recently finished recording her second self titled ''Candice Alley''album with producer Michael Szumowski. The first single from this album Before You Go received radio play and spent 11 weeks in the Australian Singles Chart, having peaked at number 16. Her eagerly anticipated follow up single I Belongwas releasedJuly 2007. I Belong marks an up-tempo change of pace for Candice, with a chugging guitar line which compliments her immediately identifying vocals. When asked what I Belong is about Candice replies, I Belong is about moving on and being optimistic, about letting go of old things. Its a positive song.
